Realme GT Explorer Master Reviews

an introduction

After the release of the Realme GT 5G, the company announced a duo of Master versions that offer an interesting contrast in features, to say the least. There is Realme GT Master and Realme GT Explorer Master. A bit of a mouthful, yes. The GT Master is positioned as a capable middle party while the Explorer Master can be considered a proper master killer.

While the Explorer Master doesn’t run on the top-notch Snapdragon 888 like the proper GT, it does stand out from the lineup with a bigger and better screen, a more efficient camera setup and a slightly better build as well. On the other hand, the standard GT Master keeps things simple and apart from the different design and chipset, it is closely related to the original Realme GT 5G.

Speaking of design, both the Master Edition phones aim to break the mold and offer a truly unique design. The two devices stand out with the industry’s first concave vegan leather, and Japanese designer, Naoto Fukasawa, says the chassis is inspired by a travel bag, hence the horizontal grid pattern.

It might seem a little confusing at first, but we kind of like Realme’s way of showing off the contrast. If you want the most powerful chipset, go for the Realme GT 5G, if you want a more balanced and budget approach then the GT Master should do the job while the GT Explorer Master is clearly the photography expert.

Perhaps the best part is that no matter which path you take, you won’t make too much compromise. All three devices have some major displays and don’t go beyond 65W fast charging.

Both phones come with a range of accessories – the 65W charger, the appropriate USB-A to USB-C cable, and protective cases. However, it is not transparent this time. It has a matte finish that is soft to the touch, stretchy, fits comfortably and is nice to hold.

Interestingly, the leather options came with the same horizontal grille style cases while the glass version of the GT Explorer Master rests in a flat design case. Same material, though.
